A little sun☀️ before a hellovalota snow❄️!

I was lucky enough to have my wonderful friend Jill (aka WD) join me for dinner and drive me to the airport. We enjoyed dinner at our fav joint, i Trulli, where they gave me a bottomless glass of wine...

Not listening to my father's advice, I enjoyed another glass of wine at the airport while waiting for my 10:30pm flight. I made some new friends at the bar. Her name is Laney. Yes, exactly like Laney in She's All That

If I would have listened to my father's advice, I probably would not have woken up halfway through the flight extremely dehydrated, but maybe I wouldn't have fallen asleep so easily. Dad--it's a toss up who was right. I endured an aisle seat, cold feet, and a mid flight medical emergency (not me!) to arrive in Miami at 3am (my time) extremely tired and a little delusional.

Luckily, I found a very nice taxi driver to drive me to South Beach. He provided me with great recommendations, like the best place to eat breakfast (ended up being the worst).

I arrived at the beach right at sunrise. It was a really beauty.

As I described earlier, breakfast was quite  bad. The eggs in my Benedict had a "corn?" consistency and my cappuccino was cold.

Not letting that ruin my good mood, I walked north until I came upon a farmers market/ swap meet. It provided good people watching.

I then began dreaming about my Cuban lunch, which lead me in my trek back south. It was a nice walk along the boardwalk. I took a little cat nap in the park under the palms with the homeless men.

My phone then lost all charge and I was left with my innate sense of direction... and no camera. I quickly found my destination and enjoyed a delicious Cuban lunch, which included croquettes and a cortadito. This lunch made up for my cruddy breakfast.

I then headed back to the airport, unfortunately extremely early. Went through security twice (as I was sent to the wrong gate the first time). Once I trekked the mile to the correct gate, went through security (again), I then was entered into the "Fight for Verizon Charging Stations and Rocking Chairs".

Now I sit for 2 hours in a non-rocking chair, charging my phone and eating a Cheese & Guava Danish.

Berlin, here I come!
